Some of the best, and certainly the most provocative, artworks in the Hudson River Valley right now are scattered along the riverfront in two new displays — one enduring, the other endearingly temporary.
Outdoor sculpture and site-specific installations are part of the Peekskill Project, a dynamic, monthlong citywide exhibition, now in its third year, sponsored by the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art in Peekskill. This year’s presentation features work by 111 artists selected by 16 curators and placed at about 70 sites around the town and riverfront. It can take days to see everything.
